Felco 981 – Special cleaner for removing plant resin
Effective cleaning for lasting precision. This cleaning spray was specially developed to dissolve stubborn residues of plant resin and organic dirt on cutting tools. Resin deposits increase friction between the blades, leading to reduced cutting performance and increased effort. Regular use of Felco 981 maintains the functionality of garden shears, loppers, and pruning shears. It is also suitable for use on cutting tools from other brands.

Material and handling
Spray liberally onto the soiled metal parts of the scissors and let it soak in briefly. Then wipe away the loosened residue with a cloth. To protect the tool from corrosion after cleaning, the use of Felco 980 lubricating spray is recommended.

Tip: A common maintenance mistake is confusing cleaning with lubrication. Felco 981 is a cleaner that dissolves grease and resin. Felco 980 is a lubricant that is applied after cleaning to ensure smooth operation and improve cutting performance.
