Steel wedges for hammer handles, pneumatic hammers, blacksmith's hammers, and axe handles. The SK16 SB wedge is compatible with Hultafors products KS 3000, KS 4000, KS5000, STS 3000, STS 4000, STS 5000, SMH 3000, MH 3000, as well as axes weighing from 0.6 kg to 1.2 kg.
The SK16 is a specialized round wedge made of hardened steel for permanently fixing tool heads to wooden handles. Unlike flat wedges, its circular geometry causes the wood to spread evenly in all directions (360 degrees). This ensures a durable, force-fit connection and prevents the axe head from loosening due to material shrinkage or mechanical stress.

Application and use
If the head of a hammer or axe has come loose, use the Hultafors round wedge (16 mm, 2-pack). Tap the steel wedge into the handle of the hammer or axe from above. Then check that the tool head is secure. The steel wedge has a diameter of 16 mm and a length of 22 mm.
